Brief introduction

The cleethorpes coast light railway is a 15inch gauge railway that runs for just over a mile along the cleethorpes seafront. The railway is owned and run privately, with steam hauled trains from 1st April to 13th September, weekends and school holidays apart from November, in which no trains run.

Sutton Belle and Sutton Flyer pass through the flood gates on there way to Kingsway station.

The railway now has two complete collections of stock from different closed railways around the world. Firstly the sutton miniature railway from Sutton Coldfield, which closed and the stock was in store until 2000 when bought with the aid of a lottery grant.Secondly the Bushmill miniature railway collection from Tasmania!!! which was bought in 2006 and is currently based at the railway.
